Use Your Alexa Device to Control Your Fire TV

Learn how to use your compatible Alexa-enabled devices to control certain features on your Fire TV.
Just tell your Alexa device what you want to do, and Alexa will complete the action directly on your Fire TV--no remote needed.

Compatible Devices

You can find your compatible Alexa devices when you link your Fire TV in the Alexa app.
This feature requires both the latest Fire TV device software update, as well as the latest version of the Alexa app.

Link Your Devices

If you only have one Fire TV device registered to your account, Alexa should complete the linking process automatically. Just say a request that includes your Fire TV to your Alexa device to complete pairing.
If you have more than one Fire TV device, you'll need to use the Alexa app to pair your devices: 
  1. Go to the menu and select Settings.
  2. Go to TV & Video and select Fire TV.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Select Link Devices to confirm your selection.
You can view and manage your linked devices from the Alexa app at any time. Go back toSettings from the menu, select TV & Video, select your linked Fire TV, and then selectManage devices.
Note:
  • You can link multiple Alexa devices to the same Fire TV, but only one Alexa device at a time can control a Fire TV.
  • To link your Alexa and Fire TV, they must be registered to the same Amazon account.

It’s an amazing product....!

It has changed the way we listened to music before...!

Instead of using costly music system we prefer listening it on our echo spot!
The speakers are decent but in future if Amazon can come out with branded speakers like Harmon K etc or even with Bose speakers with enhanced price tag .... I don’t mind buying it again!

I love how easy it is to use this device - even my kids enjoy playing with the "Alexa" voice assistant. She plays games like "Magic Door", an interactive game, and also answers questions like "What is the biggest dinosaur?".

I use Alexa to manage my work and home tasks, and to remember things like "What time is my next meeting?" (She connects to my calendar).

Screen: The screen gives tips on what to say, and how to talk to Alexa. I can see the time and choose a background image from my phone or from my Facebook account. Its great fun to use!

Alexa you are given a female name for nothing.

Echo Spot is just amazing.

You ask who the president of USA is and the answer comes with a picture of Donald Trump in all his glory, same with Indian prime minister.
Ask her to play Michel Jackson Thriller from 7 meters away and it gets played with the correct album cover showing.
You can play true or false with her. There are a lot of enhancement you can apply on line using the supplier app.
If you have a prime membership you can play Prime music , Prime video.
The screen shows a clock, customisable with 40 different dials.
Or a screen saver.
She is a companion; you can tell her to remember things and she will.
She is a pet. you can talk to her. she will talk to you back.
She is your secretary: I told her to call my mobile and she asked me by naming each of my devices, which one?
